How to Stop Expecting and Start Accepting

 

Life is full of experiences and trials that you never saw coming. Sometimes what we expect and what happens are 2 very different things. Expectations are nice to have , Acceptance is Nicer to Get.

By changing certain expectations in your life, you are opening yourself up to new experiences, new ways of thinking and even a greater sense of accomplishment.

1)   Stop Expecting Perfection:

This mindset is a sure shot recipe for disappointment. People can't will never live up to your expectations because even you fail yourself so many times.

2) Expecting the Worst from People:

When you expect someone to fail, you’re not giving them the chance to succeed. Encourage those around you. Help them &  teach them. its for your won good.

3) Expecting People to Pay for You:

Your spending is your responsibility. Don't expect people to pay for your movies , parties or even outings Just because all your friends go out to lunch doesn't mean you have to. There are differences between needs and wants—if you want something, save up for it; don’t expect anyone else  to pitch in and get it for you.

4) Expecting Things to Go Wrong:

No matter how long has been your streak of bad luck still everything cannot go wrong . Learn to stay positive. You get what you seek. If your whole focus is on situations never turning out how you want them to, they never will.

5) Expecting Fairness from Life:

Life isn't always fair. Sometimes you gain some and sometimes you loose,  sometimes your hard work isn't rewarded . Well that’s just how .Life afterall is not a balanced balance sheet.

6) Expecting Things to be Easy:

If you always have done simple things, you surely haven't done  any great thing . Life is hard. Trials will come your way that you don’t feel prepared for. But know that you can stay strong and do hard things. Anything worth needs payments be it hard work, diligence or self-discipline. ..

7) Stop Expecting Something for Nothing:

If you don’t put any effort into accomplishing something you want, you’re not going to get the results you desire. If you wanna reduce weight, changes your eating habits and exercising.  If you want something, then work your hardest to achieve it.

8) Expecting People to Change:

People are habitual. We like things to be constant. It’s comfortable. We can change, but it takes time and needs to be starting with yourself. We don’t have the power to change anyone other than our self, and once understand that, life becomes a lot happier.

9) Expecting People to Stop Everything for You:

You’re not the only one who has bad days. When life gets messy ,friends and family members are someone you can count upon, but don’t abuse these relationships. Learn to take care of yourself. Being independent is healthy but putting your friends and family members in a position that causes them to miss out on important events in their lives just because they are helping you.

Having expectations is about finding balance in life. and Acceptance is knowing when you’re asking too much and when you can ask for more.

It's hard but its worth it because that makes our own life happier and healthier.

Are Tarot Cards Simply 78 Illustrated Pieces of Paper?

This is exactly what non believers in Tarot would like us to believe.

And its also the exact reason which drove me to explore this mystifying world of occult.
So if we go by that theory then why do people Shy away from it?

The answer is simple.

Ultimately, the fear is of us, the fear of self-knowledge, "The cards are meant to reveal."

With origins in the Middle Ages, tarot decks have evolved over the centuries, infused at every turn with new meanings, new mythologies and different forms of imagery for reading. "A lot of the basic imagery of the tarot comes from the 15th century, Christendom. "The most widely used deck now is the Rider-Waite version, commissioned by Arthur Waite, one of the major figures of occultism in the 1800s. A Freemason and contemporary of Aleister Crowley, Waite spent years refining his 1909 deck, which became the standard one."

Waite was one of the first to illustrate all 22 cards of the Major Arcane–composed of concepts like The Lovers, The Wheel of Fortune and Justice–and the Minor Arcane, 56 cards in suits of Wands, Pentacle, Cups and Swords. He established a new egoistic way to read symbols.

"Every image on the card has a meaning; every colour, every number, every symbol. Just one card can contain so much information, allowing the seeker of the tarot to dig deeper," Even though the tarot imagery and symbolism has its origins in Christianity, the practice has moved away from it.

By the 20th century, after brushes with the mysticism of Carl Jung and science of Sigmund Freud, the tarot's purpose and function became closer to modern psychology than institutionalized religion. As a symbolist, Jung popularized ideas of self-mythology, while Freud centralized hidden consciousness. The result is a psychology that justifies intelligent readings of the tarot.

Take the Hermit Card or Aloneness, for instance. In the Waite deck, it appears as a singular, aged figure holding a dim lantern. In LeBlanc's minimalist version, The Hermit is represented by a small lonely black triangle with only the suit being identified in text.

"If you draw this card in a reading, it could mean you're being solitary by choice," LeBlanc explains. "It could be loneliness, separation from the herd or family, asceticism, religious devotion. So even something that seems clear-cut and simple can quickly turn into a personal interpretation. You can even have opposite interpretations of the same card.

The purpose of the tarot is to use the symbols to construct a story or narrative about desires, mental patterns and to draw out the more occult preoccupations of the complex mind.

A simple three-card layout, the triad," she says. "In the Freudian sense, it can represent the Id, the Ego and the Superego; it can also represent time in the past, the present and the future. It can be a way to start general and get more specific."

Another interesting aspect of tarot is when cards or a particular card keeps on recurring in many readings for the same person although for totally unrelated question. "That's really weird,"

Sceptics say we must have rigged the deck. But we haven’t. And that is the mystery of the tarot.

My experience says that recurring cards are common. "There could be a meaning behind that card that you might be missing. There is a lesson you need to learn but aren't getting yet," she says.

It's true and also it's an example of how the tarot can powerfully draw out the psychological patterns of the mind. At this point it's up to me to construct and then deconstruct a meaning. The other cards showed overcoming it.

"That's what's intellectually fun about the tarot, You get a jumble of possible meanings and you get to tell a story about yourself, to reflect on your actions, to interpret your life."

I think that clears all doubts one may have about Tarots being more than just a punch of beautiful looking hard pieces of Paper.

Using Tarot to Improve Your Concentration & Will Power

Let us first understand what concentration is:

“Concentration is taking your mind off many things and putting it on one thing at a time.”

How to improve your concentration and attention? Why it is important?

Paying attention to what you are doing is one of the most important keys to success.

If you are not able to hold your attention on one thing for some time, how can you accomplish anything?

Successful people are able to focus their mind on their goals day and night, until they accomplish them, be it money, fame, power, self-improvement or meditation.

So how can you improve your ability to focus your mind on your goals, when there are so many things that distract your attention?

Tips for improving concentration and attention:

1. Don’t say you cannot concentrate. Telling yourself that you cannot concentrate only makes it more difficult. By doing so, you program your mind to lack of concentration and attention.

2. Whenever you need to focus your mind, tell yourself over and again that you can concentrate. Tell yourself that you can develop this ability.

3. Remember that in order to improve your concentration you need to train it, like any other skill. If you persevere, and are earnest, in time, you will be able to focus your mind on anything you want.

4. Make deals with your mind. If there is something that is distracting your attention, such as emotional problems or unresolved business problems, tell your mind that all these problems can wait for a little while, and that you will attend to them after you finish what you are doing. If this does not help you, then write down on a piece of paper what problems you have to think about or solve. This will, to some extent, temporarily remove the problems from your mind.

5. Do one thing at a time. Jumping from one thing to another will only teach your mind to be inattentive and lose attention quickly, besides that this kind of mental restlessness can be tiring in the long run.

6. When you focus your attention on anything, be alert, and when you find yourself thinking on something else, try to stay patient, and bring your mind to the subject again and again.

7. Often, when you remember, try to fix your attention on whatever you happen to be doing at the moment.

Make it a point to put your full concentration on whatever you are doing. Don’t let anything distract you. It really helps to be in a quiet place, but you can learn to block out noise if necessary.

Understand the essential connection between concentration and energy. Deep concentration is a matter of increasing or directing your life-force or conscious, cosmic energy. The more of this kind of energy you have, the better. Scattered energy doesn’t help. It must be calm, focused energy. Learn to be calmly concentrated and be concentrated calm.

Take breaks. Go outside and breathe deeply or take a brisk walk. Make yourself do this often and you’ll be able to return to your task recharged and ready to focus more creatively.

Women &Tarot: - The Alchemist’s Choice

During my long association with Tarot which I have regarded as a divination tool. A psychic medium which helped people to delve deep inside the subconscious and search out answers far deeper and meaningful than what was at there disposal in the conscious world of five senses. However, my interactions with few of my female students changed my perceptions.

Here is one of the many experiences that they have shared with me which could perhaps help you to find some insight into seemingly unsolvable situations.

Riya a brilliant student of fashion designing was full of hopes and aspiration the day she stepped into her first job; in a big export house. As luck would have had, she learnt Tarot card reading and the first reading she did was of her own self and the problem of hers. Tarot told her of deception from a female figure. Forgiveness - Part 2

Today, I want to share the wisdom of Tarot with you that how it teaches us to heal ourselves by letting go our grudges and pains.

Since when we hate someone and hold grudges against him by doing this we are not harming him we are harming ourselves. Because by this way we pay the price again and again by bringing anger and bitterness into every relationship and new experience. Our life will be so wrapped up in the wrong that we can't enjoy the present. We will be depressed or anxious. There will be a feeling that our life lacks meaning or purpose, or that we're at odds with our spiritual beliefs. We may lose valuable and enriching connectedness with others.

But Tarot teaches us how to be realistic with the issues and how to solve them logically. It teaches us and guides us how to let go of things and also teaches us the art of forgiveness and love.

If you stuck with your grudges and past failures either it was because of you or because of someone else you will not be able to go forward in your life. You won’t be able to heal yourself.

Cards in Major Arcana

The Star:

The star card represents Hope, serenity, inspiration

In the star card you will see a naked women pouring water her one foot is on ground and other is in water she knows how to balance the practical and emotional world both together. Behind her shines 7 small stars and one large star which represent our chakra it means we need to open our self and cleanse our aura.

When the star tarot card comes in reading it suggests that you have endured life’s challenges and have been through a difficult time but you are now open to healing and transformation. Your ability to let go of damaging memories has been strengthened by contact with your true self through these difficult times. Hatred, envy, bitterness, and revenge have burned themselves out and no longer shadow your life or get in the way of your potential for future happiness. You are now also able to forgive and forget so that you can embrace new opportunities.

 

The Hierophant :

The hierophant is known as spiritual leader, the interpreter of secret mysteries and the one who points the way towards salvation. The two keys in the card are suppose to be the keys of salvation and redemption.

Redemption means: Art of learning to solve the problems and once you learn it you have the key of redemption.

Salvation Means: Learn to forgive.

Because this card also represents education and the pursuit of knowledge and Once you learn to forgive you have the eternal peace in your life.

Judgment:

Judgment represents rebirth, innercalling

The Judgment card calls for a period of reflection and self-evaluation. Through meditation or quiet reflection, you may come to a point of deep understanding about the common themes throughout your life and what you can do or change to avoid these situations in the future. Judgment tells you that you are close to reaching a significant stage in your own journey.

The Judgment card suggests that you have had a recent epiphany or an ‘awakening’ where you have come to a realization that you need to live your life in a different way and you need to be true to yourself and your needs. You have opened yourself up to a new possibility – to lead a fulfilling life that serves your higher needs and that offers inspiration and hope to others. But then can happen only when you are able to come from your past events in your life. Past bad feelings, grudges which you are holding, just forget and forgive those who you think were not fare on your part or have hurt you. Just move forward and then you have everything in your life that you are worth.

Cards in Minor Arcana:

Three of swords:

The three of card shows a heart pierced by three swords:- it shows betrayal, rejection,sorrow,painful separation, grief.

Such events in our life are very painful because they are unexpected. but when this cards comes in our reading it prepares us for such things so that we will go through the less pain less emotional blow.

That said, pain, sorrow and grief are often a necessity in the journey of life. Without pain, there would be no challenge and no lessons learned. Pain can be a great motivator because it encourages you to surmount obstacles and ultimately learn from your mistakes. Each challenge you encounter creates that initial pain, which is inevitably turned into an opportunity to grow stronger and to change the direction of your life as a result of the lessons learned. While the pain may cloud your vision for a certain period, it will eventually allow you to see clearly and to put the past behind you. Though life seems meaningless at the time, recovery can and will occur. It takes faith, self-love, forgiveness and time. Count your blessings.

 

Five of Cups:

This card shows that lack of fulfillment. You are depressed ,disappointed because the situation has not turned up according to your plans. Now instead of facing the situation you are trying to run away from them. If somebody has hurt you, you don’t want to forgive the one, you just want to leave. But you should know forgiveness and ability to recover from the emotional loss in necessary for your personal growth, because by just running away from the situation you may get the relief but this is not permanent this is a temporary relief because the problems are not solved yet they are as it is the way they were. So just forget and forgive and move forward in life just face the issues. Once you decided that you can do it no one can stop you. Because if there is a will there is a way.

According to Tarot:- Forgiveness means that you are choosing to release the grip you've continued to allow people and situations from your past to have over you in the present. It is a gift of acceptance you give to yourself; the very gift that allows for true freedom from all that has come before.

What is Happiness? Bring Happiness Through TAROT

In today’s fast life style where we all are running from morning to evening. Having sleepless nights. Following this Stressful Pattern of life. And the reason we give to our self is that we are all doing this for happiness.

We all want happiness, either for our world (which includes friends, family, near and dear ones) or for ourselves.

But what is happiness exactly what is the meaning of running day and night leading a stressful life when we don't have time to enjoy happy moments with our loves ones.

Again the same question appears what exactly the meaning of Happiness is.

I believe that happiness is nothing but a physical state of mind.

State of well-being characterized by emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.

Few people earn so much that they don't even know where to save how to save but they don’t have a time to spend with their loved ones. What is the use when you are going for a holiday with the family to a very luxurious destination but all the time you are stuck with the Phone calls and Laptop? One can get happiness by just going to the park along with wife and children and looking at the happiness on the face of his wife and children or old parents when he is giving is precious time to them out of his busy schedule.

I am not saying that stop struggling stop doing hard work no but take some time out for them whom you are working day night.

But happiness seems difficult if not impossible to find.

One can find happiness in many ways:-

1) If only we could sit down, wherever we are, close our eyes, and through some miracle let go of all thoughts, distractions, and problems. If only we could let go.

2) Meditation has been found to lead to high activity in the brain's left prefrontal cortex, which in turn has been found to correlate with happiness.

3) Momentary pleasure from personal experiences is one aspect of happiness

4) Happiness and Health

When You are healthy your near dear one are healthy living happily then there is a  charge of       positive emotions in your mind and that brings happiness to you.

5) Religious Views

You go through any religious books what they say about true happiness.

For ultimate freedom from suffering, a state of everlasting peace. Ultimate happiness is only achieved by overcoming craving in all forms. More mundane forms of happiness, such as acquiring wealth and maintaining good friendships, are also recognized as worthy goals for lay people. Buddhism also encourages the generation of loving kindness and compassion, the desire for the happiness and welfare of all beings.

In so many views it involves good fortune, chance or happening.

Few People love eating so they get happiness when they are eating their favorite food. Few People get happiness when they are listening to their favorite music,

Everybody can get happiness in doing whatever they like but for that they need to take time out from their busy schedule for themselves.

In today’s fast life style just to achieve something in just proving our selves we have even forgotten to smile. A Smile which should not appear on lips it should come from our heart.

For True happiness we need true peace of mind other materialistic things are momentarily and can be taken away .

But the peace of mind it is our own and no one can take this until we allow them.

I get my peace of mind a true happiness when I am with my true friend and my true Guide My Tarot Deck.
